Lakes Area Pagan III

Well here it is! I’ve just ordered a few copies to get into Cat Tales. As before I will try handing out contributor copies as I can get them. These do cost me money and I’m limited to what I can do so be patient with me.

On another note I see that Hornedowl666 has posted but I needed to approve it. I’m making all members administators so their  posts will be live. Then I won’t have to approve anything. If you haven’t posted please do so. I need to know that everything is working properly. Or give me an email.

bright blessings

My introduction

•October 31, 2008 • 6 Comments

Hi,

I thought I should introduce myself and let everyone know a little bit about the character behind the name.

I live in Brainerd, Minnesota. I am married, have a wife and 5 kids, and 5 cats running amok around the house and woods. College educated, for better or worse, and work in a helping profession.

I have had beliefs that are called Pagan or Heathen all of my life. I was raised Christian, but never internalized it because I always saw things differently than adults were trying to tell me about reality and spirituality. Anyway, I have have practiced as a solitary Wiccan and Witch for a few years and also have been involved with a couple of groups over the years. I currently do belong to an Alexandrain Wicca Coven, but it is not located in Brainerd. Maybe someday there will be a group or Coven in the Brainerd area, who knows what possabilities there might be in the future.  I like Wicca but also like what would be called Traditional Witchcraft also.  So I tend to mix the two in my own world view and daily life.

I consider myself very liberal and open minded and just go about living my life as I believe I should and let others do as is right for them.

I like to read and usually it is about Wicca, Witchcraft, or something closely related to Paganism and Heathenism. I definitley like to get together for coffee at Caribou or CoCo Moon in Brainerd with other Pagans, Heathens, Witchs, and the like. I love visiting with people like us.

If anyone ever is interested in getting together for coffee and visit a bit, just let me know and we will try to make it happen.

Ok, I sent everyone an email. If you know of someone that wants to participate get them registered with wordpress and have them email me. It’s that simple. I’m hoping we can at least get to know each other a bit since we have shared three issues of Lakes Area Pagan already!

Tinman is the wonderful person that works on my Anarchist World webpage and these blogs from time to time. I don’t know what I would do without him. He is also working on some tarot card designs as time permits.

I think everyone knows me but might not know everyone else. How bout some intro’S?

How to register for Lakes Area Pagans Blog

•September 26, 2008 • Leave a Comment

To participate in the Lakes Area Pagans Blog you need to register. There are two ways this can be done. The first way is to go to http://wordpress.com and become registered for you own blog even if you don’t plan on using it. Once you are registered, I can register you into the Lakes Area Pagan Blog. You will need to email me that you want in.

The second way is to email me directly at anarchistbanjo@live,com and ask me to do it for you. I will need to know what username you want to use and I will use your email address to register you. Then I will email you back with the info. I will create a blog for you and register you at Lakes Area Pagans all at the same time. Again, you will not need to use your blog. You just need to get one to use Lakes Area Pagans. If you have any questions email me.

Welcome to Lakes Area Pagans

Welcome to Lakes Area Pagans blogs. This blog is primarily intended for Local Area Pagans that have participated or are interested in contributing to future issues of Lakes Area Pagan. Or maybe just getting to know each other.

Each person that has contributed to Lakes Area Pagan will be registered with this blog as an administrator. I will be emailing everyone their usernames and passwords. The usernames will be those they used in the Lakes Area Pagan. If you want new ones email me and let me know or do it yourself as an administrator.

As an administrator you can make posts to this blog and register friends and family members that might be interested in sharing. My only request is that if you register someone else, don’t register them as an administrator. Register them as a contributor. After they have contributed to the magazine they can become administrators if they choose.

So far this means that:

Anarchistbanjo, Astarchild, Snowbound, Arrow, Ulla, Erik

Will be registered as administrators. Contact any of them to get registered.

Administrators can put up links to their favorite blogs or websites on the blogroll. If you don’t know how I can help, just email me.

I would like to introduce Tinman as an administrator as well. If you like the new Anarchist World web site, tinman is the wizard that created it for me.

So let’s talk! Tell your friends about this blog and get them registered. I would love to get together and get to know each of you better. Does anyone have any ideas?

I’ve already told Erik that I can’t run a group but I can belong to one if someone else runs it. I’m just too busy. I can do initiations and teach healing and energy work within groups. Other than that, I just want to sit in a circle and participate in an ordinary way. So if someone wants a group, I’d like to be part of it but can’t take any responsibility for it.

Erik, do you have anything to say?

If you’ve got a product, service or something that we might be interested in put a link up in the blog roll or mention it in a post. If we can’t get together in person we can at least get together here. Jerry at Cat Tails has offered the use of his store as a meeting place. Maybe someone has other ideas?

I will be needing the material for the Halloween issue of Lakes Area Pagan by the end of the month!

Thanks,

-anarchistbanjo
